Some students agree that smoking is dangerous, Not only does smoking harm smokers themselves but also harm the people around them. Bans in public places would also urge smokers to smoke less or give it up.

It is a province with a large population of 70,000,000 but not much farmland for people to live on, and it lacks natural resources with an area of more than 100,000 km2 .
With the development of economy and growth of its population, more and more good farmland has been used to build houses and factories. As a result, farmland is decreasing year by year.

Before the Games began, we spent several weeks training for the Olympic services, improving our English both in speaking and listening. We had to get familiar with all the roads, streets and traffic of Beijng. In addition, we were trained to know the cultures of different nations.
During the Games, our work began around 11:00 a. m. and ended about 10:00 p. m. We led people to their seats and answered all their questions. Using English, we introduced Beijing to foreign friends and gave them accurate information. Sometimes we provided the audience with some rules for table-tennis matches.
Through my services for the Olympics, I now know more about our capital city and different cultures of the world. I had lots of practice with many native English speakers. More importantly, I have learned to help and understand different people and learned to be a more unselfish person. This will be the most precious memory in my life.

August 18th should have been the most exciting day in 2008. However, it has been the saddest and most astonishing day. It was a great pity that LiuXiang got out of the match. My classmates and I worked as volunteers in Beijing Paralympics on September 13.
Early in the morning at 7:20, we gathered at the National Stadium, the Bird Nest. As soon as we got into it at 7:30, we started to do some cleaning. From 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, we tried our best to help the disabled athletes to get ready for their competitors, lead the audience to their seats and keep order. It was not until 12:00 that we had lunch and took a rest, which lasted about an hour. We stopped working at 4:00.
Though it was a tiring job, we felt it an honor to serve the disabled friends from all over the world.
