Spain coach Vicente del Bosque admitted he was only "half pleased" after seeing his side narrowly beat Saudi Arabia in its first warm-up game ahead of next month's World Cup finals.

Spain needed a 92nd minute header from Fernando Llorente to beat a side that has not qualified for the World Cup, but which threatened to cause an upset against the reigning European Champions.

Saudi Arabia took the lead in the game and although David Villa and Xabi Alonso had put Spain ahead, an equalizing goal 15 minutes from time looked as if it was going to cause an upset before Llorente's late header.

"We all know that there are no easy games in football and we have to positive," said Del Bosque on Spanish television directly after the final whistle.

"It is good preparation, we have not played in 15 days and we were a bit lazy at the start, but we have fulfilled our objective, " he said.

Del Bosque admitted he was not pleased with some aspects of his side's performance, especially in the first half.

"They put us under pressure and we are guilty of playing too many back-passes without moving the ball in midfield, but we improved as the game continued," he said, adding words for Pedro Rodriguez and Javi Martinez, who made their Spain debuts in the second half.

"We can be pleased with the debutants who did well, but now we have to think about the game we have on June 3 (against South Korea) when other players will play and get their chance."

"I am half pleased, remembering that we have not played for 15 days, but we have to keep on working," concluded the Spain coach.
