Urban trance describes the situation where people living in fast-paced cities may find themselves forgetting to press the button for their floor in an elevator or missing their subway stop because they are under great pressure or are too preoccupied with work.
城市迷走症指的是,生活在快节奏城市的人们时常会因为压力太大或者太专注于工作而忘记在电梯里按下自己要去的楼层,或者在地铁里坐过站。Below are examples of when you are suffering from urban trance:

1. Walking to a colleagues desk but forgetting what you are there for.
走到一个同事桌前,却忘了自己去那儿是要干什么。
2. Being too busy checking updates on the micro blog to realize that you are missing your stop on the subway.
在地铁里忙着刷微博,没发现自己已经坐过站了。
3. Knowing someone by his/her ID on WeChat or Weibo, but forgetting his/her real name.
